It's really sad seeing the way these guys have changed over the years. Their first couple albums were part of my childhood.

Looking at the first two albums, the Black Eyed Peas are, to me, the definition of wasted talent. [7]

Behind The Front shows that will.i.am is actually more than a decent rapper when he wants to be or should I say "wanted to be". apl.de.ap and Taboo seem there to basically fill time...

@Senorcarlos93 - The hunger for money is what happened. They sold the fuck out. It's pathetic.
  • Avatar for senorcarlos93
man i never thought the BEP's could ever made good hip hop! what the hell happened??
  • Avatar for Mishunia95
Love BEP's old hip-hop. Great! I wish they recorded albums as this or their 2-nd and returned back to true style. [2]

wonderful album, and absolute shame what they've become now. i feel almost as if their 'party on' music is completely devoid of creativity that the exhibit on this album. fucking hell 'i was born to get wild, that's my style, if you didn't know that baby, well now you know now.' no. fucccccccccccccccccccccck.

    Good BEP.

I want another album like this. Even if it's just re-recorded with Fergie in it.
  • Avatar for CGholy
    Underrated.
  • Avatar for alexis524
behind the front and bridging the gap is what BEP's are, not the commercialized hip POP they now produce after bringing on Fergie. When they did that, they sold out. It may not be Fergie's fault, but they took more than a few steps back when they did.
  • Avatar for PrettyAlien
only good album they've ever made
  • Avatar for CGholy
Defiantly not fergie's fault; Elephunk and Monkey Business had some wicked tracks. Where is the love is my favorite BEP song after Karma.
  • Avatar for talismanus
@Sicoloco I agree. Their lyrics on this and Bridging the Gaps are against mainstream, well what happened then? No reason to blame Fergie though, the guys wanted to become mainstream themselves, Fergie didn't cause their change. This is their best album, so epic tones!

Agree with below, one of the best hip hop albums ever. Too bad they don't make 'em like this anymore
  • Avatar for Sicoloco
one of the best hip hop lps ever made. too bad they are now little mainstream-whores. "money is a drug and mcs is on it".... now they are on it too

I totally agree with Marion Campbell: Its such a crying shame that these boys had to go and ruin themselves. None is to blame. Just greed

Hey its not just the fergie fault. Have you seen the songs that some of the artists behind black eyed peas made alone, after the fergie. The I got from my mama song, is one of them.

damn, BEP was so dope, then fergie came along and ruined it all, and the lames jumped on the pop bus she bought for them.
  • Avatar for saschamaj
The last of BEP's real Hip-Hop albums before they went all Pop-ish on us :'( I guess they took "bridging the gaps" literally and decided to cross over...
