To hear the full version of " Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" copy this entire link: http://www.last.fm/music/Reunion/_/Life+Is+a+Rock+(But+the+Radio+Rolled+Me) But don't click on it - clicking this link will take you to a page with no audio.

This song seems to be a tribute to Reunion's 1974 hit "Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" more so than a remake of, or a tribute to, "Eve Of Destruction" - which does receive an encomium here via the shared chorus. "Life Is A Rock (But... )" is most likely the inspiration for the R.E.M. song "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" and the Barenaked Ladies hit "One Week" - as well as, unfortunately, a series of commercials for a "so-called-free" credit-report company. Also, Reunion's song itself may have been inspired by the early sixties song "I've Been Everywhere" by Hank Snow, among others. http://www.last.fm/music/Reunion/_/Life+Is+a+Rock+(But+the+Radio+Rolled+Me)

this song has nothing to do with Mcguire's political anthem and it doesn't do it any justice.

More a tribute than a cover - chorus is the same as is the rough chord progression but lyrics and speed have been updated quite a bit for the verses. Ended up sounding very Barenaked Ladies (in a good way) if you ask me

I love everything about this song -- it's 60s roots, its lyrics. All so good.
