Biography

Billy-X is the psuedo name of Babar Khan whose roots go back to the NWFP.
Prior to his rapping interests, Babar had never heard about rap or the hip hop genre before 10th grade until he came across Eminem’s famous track “The Real Slim Shady”. After hearing his first hip hop songs, he felt an instant connection with this music style and set his interests into hip hop and soon his rapping days started.

Until 12th grade Babar was not actively involved in rapping until he met Omer from the band “Rooh” who inspired him and supported his rapping interests which until now was just a hobby.
Babar admits his inspiration comes from Eminem and he did struggle with writing original lyrics (which is mature enough as per him, his friends and friends from online social sites like Orkut).

Babar did a few gigs during his time in FC College but it all picked up at the end of his first semester in LSE when he did a gig through a contact in KAPS and then gigs started pouring in and eventually Babar appeared on a show on ATV. All this coverage helped him gain popularity and a decent audience but later on his music started to cool down since he was very short on original material and Babar wanted to spend more time and effort on songs that he could claim as his own original work.
Now, although his lyrics are legit and original, the music and beats are highly controversial.
