So Garth fans learn WHO WROTE IT! Give Garth boy credit.. He knew a solid cover song to do.... Back a few years, Garth was performing in Jacksonville on his birthday.. Unknown to him, his management made special arrangements and as his band was ready to perform this song, the Stage Manager said for him to pause for a change on stage.. Garth stalled and thought some equipment was to be switched out (when something breaks they do that on the road).. Suddenly the back curtin opens halfway and the stage crew rolls out a grand Piano to center stage with the seat and piano on caster panel rollers... Guess who was on the Seat in 'shades and smiling'? With a mic in place, Bill says to the crowd; "We have a birthday to announce! Ladies and gentlemen, let's give Garth a round of 'Happy Birthday'!" They sang that and then Bill told Garth, let do MY song that you do SO MUCH BETTER! "Shamless".. God, I would of loved to be there!
