    what´s the use to declare s.o. to best piano- (guitar- ,bass-, drum-, sax-, triangle-, or what the hell-) player of all times? That´s all nonsense , just right for teenagers (nowadays with other heroes for sure). Why not just enjoying all the gerat music without fear , that s.o. could "touch" her or him?

    While Monk was a fantastic composer, he wasn't that good of a player. Quite a few people "touch" him, ESPECIALLY Evans.

    At last, the great Bill Evans. A genius at the jazz piano. I was lucky enough to hear and see him at Ronnie Scott's. And I heard and saw Monk at the Festival Hall.
