The name BigBang/BIGBANG refers to two different artists:

1. Bigbang have been dubbed Norway’s Greatest Live Band, and have been a major force in the Norwegian music scene for over a decade. During the past two years, the band has spent time focusing on the American market. Based in California, they have toured the country, playing intimate gigs and promoting their American debut From Acid to Zen, a compilation of songs from previously released albums. The album was very well received and resulted in great reviews among others from Rolling Stone Magazine’s Editor David Fricke: It’s a shotgun buffet, like those early U. S. LPs by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones that combined album tracks and singles from unrelated sessions, and it succeeds the same way: like an instant greatest-hits record. Singer-guitarist-songwriter Øystein Greni has the right history in his genes — his dad sang in a Norwegian band that opened for Led Zeppelin in 1968 — and he grounds songs like “Early December,” “Hurricane Boy” and the brilliantly titled “From Acid to Zen” in the eternal power-chord charge and fish-hook riffs of the Stones and the Who. But Greni also has a knack for wringing fresh excitement from the familiar: the country-angel harmonies and ice-Byrds guitar in the new version of “Wild Bird,” the improbable dream of Badfinger and Hüsker Dü in “The One.” – David Fricke, Rolling Stone Magazine Edendale was recorded in the legendary Sound City Studios, with an impressive list of collaborators: Producers: Øystein Greni and Greg Richling (Wallflowers) Technician/mixer: Bryan Cook (Damian Rice, Jackson Browne

@SebastianOslo: Stop being a drama queen. Nobody is "destroying" this page. Everybody else is using "BIG BANG" because 1: incorrect tags and 2: OMGUH DIS PAGE IS 4 DIS BAND ONLY/OTHER BAND GTFO comments that are on here. The reason that I still tag my stuff as BIGBANG is because it is the official spelling-- it's on their website, cds and other merch. To anyone that would think "BUT DATS NUT WAT WIKIPEDIA SAYS!!!!1", then you're just plain silly to go to Wikipedia for information and try to use it as a source when people can change the info on there at any time. No matter how much you or anybody else cries, I'll still scrobble my jams as BIGBANG.

@SebastianOslo: Those 'ugly' symbols are called foreign languages. Way to overreact. Honestly, can't we just learn to live with each other instead of just hating on each other's favourite artists constantly? @hak1: To pretty much everyone that listens to the Korean group, the Norwegian group is the group 'no one cares about'. I noticed you tagging your Norwegian songs as 'BIG BANG' as well, so obviously you don't really care about the way it shows up in your charts anyway.

I kind of hate it when i listen to awesome rock music and it shows on this page as some lame korean music that noone cares about.. And come on, what's the deal with caps lock band-name? I vote ban korea-boys from this page!

fruitofchaos: Why do you keep destroying our BigBang-page with those ugly symbols when you have a perfectly fine page called "BIG BANG", used by everybody else? The Koreans formed in 2006, the Norwegians in 1992! Aka: The norwegians have all the rights to the name "BigBang"!

@fruitofchaos: ITA soooo fucking hard. @Bigbang fans: Can't we all just get along? I mean, BIGBANG fans just want to rock with you, dance with you-- do everything with you. Even run around in the rain with you, every day now only you.

Last.fm takes ages to change things. I just don't see why we're the ones that have to change the name, instead of the fans of the Norwegian group. It's not that hard to just accept the fact that there are two artists that happen to have the same name. I'll live with the occasional picture of a random Norwegian group in my quilt and I'm sure most fans of the Norwegian BB won't die from some random Koreans. It's just the stubborn people constantly changing the wiki and claiming the Korean group name is spelled wrongly that annoy me to no end.

Once again, like I already said months ago: Both bands have their band name _without_ any space between the words Big/BIG and Bang/BANG (Norwegian: BigBang Korean: BIGBANG)... But for you guys listening to the Korean band, you can use BIG BANG-tag until the Last.fm Crew is doing something concrete about this "bands with the same name"-issue.. :) (Remember; on a tag where there's more than one band sharing the same name, all bands have right to have pictures uploaded and be mentioned in the wiki)

"yeah, BIGBANG is their official name, but I don't think it's that hard to change your tag to BIG BANG, everyone listening to korean BB are using the other tag...it worked so well till now, why should we suddenly change it..." [2] and to Radical_RAD: Their band name is officially "BIGBANG" in both South Korea and Japan, but here on Last.fm we use BIG BANG-tag instead because not to bother fans for the Norwegian band.

For the Korean Big Bang: It's BIGBANG for the Japanese stuff and BIG BANG for their Korean stuff. I just use the Korean stuff to avoid things such as this.

Well spelling on merch and such really doesn't matter much... logo makers and graphical artists generally take liberties on spelling to achieve a certain look.
