    2005 represents a landmark on a 10 year career for singer and guitarist Big Joe Manfra. After four CDs (Big Joe Manfra and 2 solos, one with trio Blues Etc. and one with harp player Peter "Madcat"), released during this period, Big Joe Manfra is today one of the main artists of the genre in Brazil. Giving a new step on his career with the release of DVD Big Band Ao Vivo, he added a horn section to his band, getting closer to what he considers the ideal line-up. Throughout his career, Big Joe Manfra always strove to put his personal stamp on his music. Assuming his role as the lead singer from his second CD on, BJM never restricted himself to the traditional blues, adding the energy of his rock side and the influence of the jazz on the arrangements to the style born in Mississippi. His strong bluesy accent brought american harp player Peter Madcat Ruth to have him on guitar during the last six years for his brazilian tour. This partnership resulted on the CD Live in Rio, result from Mistura Fina sessions recorded live. …
