13 Jan 2008, 19:31 by desolatoI don’t know why I started this entry, maybe because I was bored or maybe just because I wanted to show you my view on the massive collection of covers available now a days. Actually I’m quite a sucker for covers. I don’t know what I like so much about them, it might be the fact that they are sung by other artists (duh), but also to see how they are interpret by their performers, and the arrangements of instruments etc. This entry mostly focuses on the 'crazy' covers. Anyway, I hope you like my list and check them out if you like. And if you know some songs I should check out, please let me know!
[Note: most of the 30-second previews made available by last.fm are live versions, and are not as good as the studio ones]

18 May 2007, 03:30 by 420DJToxicSo i was checkin out the NBC Website lastnight. I was bored, so, i checked the "Music" section lookin for some new music i haven't been "Exposed" to. And, what i stumbled upon...omg. From the show "America's Got Talent", i found out that the winner released her first CD last year in November.
Some of you know who i'm talkin' about. I don't watch the show, never have. But, she's 13 year old Bianca Ryan
Her debut CD is AWESOME! She's got a fantastic voice for only being 13...she sounds more like 18 or 19. I couldn't believe it when i read she was born in '94.
Kinda reminds me a little bit of JoJo. You guys have to check her out! She's fantastic!
Now, don't tell me i don't reccomend music to any of ya :P lol

3 Mar 2007, 04:54 by CaraliSince the first one went over so well, and I have a ridiculously large collection of covers I decided to do a part 2.
For those who didn't see the first one here's the rules:
Essentially the idea of this game is I list two or more artists that have all done a cover of the same song at some point, and you have to guess what song it is a cover of. Please don't use a search engine, that kind of defeats the purpose.
For example: Laura Branigan, Jessica Andrews, Tina Arena
-answer: Show Me Heaven
1. Allison Crowe, Joan Baez, Rick Springfield, A Perfect Circle, Etta James (Imagine)
2. Ronnie Spector, Wynonna, Travis Tritt
3. Juice Newton, The Pretenders, Bonnie Tyler (Angel Of The Morning)
4. Billy Joel, Ronnie Spector, Keith Moon, BJ Thomas (Don't Worry Baby)
5. The Carpenters, Bobbie Gentry, Ella Fitzgerald (I'll Never Fall In Love Again)
6. Devo, Sandie Shaw, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding ((I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction)
19 Jan 2007, 00:58 by CaraliWell, it's been awhile so I figured why not? There's still a few left to guess in 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 50 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Italicize the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
1. Since the moment I spotted you I've been wearing little wings on my shoes
2. I wait for Christmas all year long, how wish I could only change it Why Couldn't It Be Christmas Everyday?
3. Well I'm a packing up my truck and I'm a head down south Plowboy
4. Bet you're wondering how I knew 'bout your plans to make me blue I Heard It Through the Grapevine
5. I was there when dreams came true, stuck around when plans fell through
6. You can change your life, you can change your clothes So Yesterday
20 Nov 2006, 23:52 by FalconiusI just listened to Bianca Ryan's debut album and it makes me furious.
Not about the music, because it is unnecessarily dumb and bad manufactured.
But about the way a girl not even close to becoming mature is sold by her parents to a merciless industry, just because there are a few million bucks in it.
And how she is sold out by her managers, her producers and on her next albums inevitably by her songwriters and all that crappy staff.
I hate to say it, but even in those Celine Dion-eske crap on her record you can now and then hear how genious her voice is. But those are rare moments.
This wonderful talent is one of a kind and may well not return in this quality for a decade or two and what the fuck do they use it for? Pop sell out???? Are you guys insane or what? Even if would be down to make money of it, there would be much much much more in it, if you would help her build her talent and redefine some kind of music. A voice like that would never go unsold anyway. Nina Simone did and Tom Waits still does. …
6 Sep 2006, 04:35 by breakxmyxheart7Instructions: Put your iPOD, mp3 player or whatever you use to play music on shuffle. Write down the song that comes up to answer each question. Do not skip songs, even if you repeat artists! After you name the song, write yes or no for the question that follows. See how many actually make sense!
This is my favourite song right now: Have You Ever by Trenyce
Is this true? Nope, it's not even one of my favorite performances by her
This is my least favourite song right now: Go On and Cry by Diana DeGarmo
Is this true? No, I love it. And why would I have my least favorite song on my playlist, anyway.
I have no idea why this song is on my music player: Same Script, Different Cast by Whitney Houston
Is this true? No...it's on there because I have Whitney's greatest hits CD.
This song makes me sad: Sugar by Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini
Is this true? No, it's upbeat.
This song makes me mad: Dream A Little Dream of Me by Will Makar
Is this true? No, why would it?
