Biography

Emerging out of Rochester, New York in October of 2007, Beyond This Day was formed by 5 guys who wanted to start something different. With intentions of keeping elements of all forms of metal and hardcore they quickly wrote a 4 song demo and began building a reputation in the local scene.

In the summer of 2008, soon after a switch in the lineup the band recorded it’s first full-length album titled “Phases” due out in late fall 2008. The band holds onto the mindset that it is all about the music, not about the image, not about being another copycat band within the genre, but trying to put their own spin on their style. Bringing the heavy element and the melodic touch face to face in a new form of metal, BTD is setting out to put some much-needed diversity within the genre.

With an album coming out soon and plans to venture outside of their hometown as soon as possible, Beyond This Day has the determination to get their name familiarized and music heard by everyone they can. There is no doubt that this band is here to stay and that you will be seeing more of them for years to come.

i'm leaving this here cause there's no dream anatomy page: just got a friend request on myspace, the 2 tracks there are tight but need more shred, esp for that after the burial comparison! i'm intrigued to hear more, keep it up!
