Beyond Twilight

Beyond Twilight play experimental progressive rock and metal.

Their first album, The Devil’s Hall of Fame, featured renowned hard rock/metal singer Jorn Lande.

The band’s second album, Section X, is a logical continuation of The Devil’s Hall of Fame.

With their latest release, For The Love of Art and the Making, they have continued to push the musical envelope in both heaviness and complexity. This opus, which is 43 tracks long and mixes elements of classical composition with crushing metal rhythms, is meant to be played either straight through, or on shuffle, yielding a different arrangement with each listen.

Put Section X on for a flashback to how I enjoy my cheesy Prog Power Metal without the cheese. It is done perfectly. Brilliant album.

For the Love of Art and the Making is a masterpiece. I do not listen to it often, but it remains one of my top 100 album.

Okay, I've now listened to For the Love of Art and the Making both in the "proper" order and shuffling the tracks around, and I am now convinced the album was made with black magic. How the fuck did they pull it off.

About time they worked on a new album. Everything they did until now was no less than brilliant.

Mindblowing! 'Devils Hall Of Fame' is a symphony just for Jorn's voice.

Despite being a fan of Jorn Lande's great voice and Masterplan. Admiring his parts in bands like Ayreon and Allen/Lande it's rather confusing to admit that Kelly Sundown tops Jorn in Beyond Twilight. There's nothing to match the insane... morbid... wicked... dark atmosphere created by Kelly's voice and the rest of the band in Section X. Truly a one of a kind masterpiece.
