Formed in Langbank, Scotland in 2002. Beyond Jericho has relied on prayerful focus and Spirit-led direction to release a resounding and reflective collection of tracks that considers life in the light of the Gospel. In a world forgetting about God this band asks for involvement, merits reaction and defies the normality of growing Christian apathy.
Described as an “avant-garde voice to their generation”, their engaging music focuses on Spiritually significant and scripturally relevant themes, with worshipful and thought-provoking content.
Winners of the UK Christain Broadcasting Council’s Gold Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album 2006, their debut album The World Means You To God was heralded as a significant success - especially considering it was virtually all produced in-house, with the exception of the release cover sleeve design which was drawn by Miguel Vicuna, an artist from Colorado U.S., commissioned by the band.
Formerly known as Beyond, the band Beyond Jericho has gone through a refining transition musically, from their award-winning debut release in 2006 incorporating a slight change of personnel, with the introduction of new bassist in long-term fan Pete Kelly, who takes over this role from original member Pete McFarlane.
