I find this album really hard to digest compared to their other stuff. Not because of song length, I love all the long tracks from Colors and Para-2. I don't know, I just find it harder to dig (and remember, bar Mirrors) even when I'm giving it my fullest attention. Even so, I can still say it's a great album, these guys are phenomenal both in-studio and on-stage. I just personally can't get into this as much as the other stuff.

The first four songs are excellent, Desert of Song is great but doesn't really fit, and Swim to the Moon is just a mess of a song. It has some great ideas but a drag to listen to completely. Their worst album next to self titled, but still great.

I really don't get the whole "toned down" thing, a lot of people seem to think it. This album is pretty damn heavy. Not as heavy as Colors of course.
