    Sweetest Decline

Sweet with a twist - there's a definite sense of melancholy, in a celebration of being, falling, becoming. I love the line, "You can't pin this butterfly down." It's about being free and independent and autonomous.

    So, anyway,
    There I was,
    Just sitting on your porch
    Drinking in the sweetest decline.
    Sober mind. Hm.

I'm quite digging Beth Orton at the moment, particularly Central Reservation - this being the only album of hers that I own. I think there was another one more recently - can anyone recommend it?
