This is a Romanian traditional melody from the region of Bucovina/Bukovina. The lyrics are in Hungarian, but the melos is definitely that of a syncopated Romanian Hora. So technically, the melody is Balkan since Romania is part of the Balkan mosaic.
The artists do a great rendition and fusion of Romanian-Hungarian-rock'n'roll-Jazz, but it would help to call it as such.
"This Hungarian band combines Hungarian folk elements with Balkan music." ...It doesn't say that THIS cut is "Balkan" ... It's bastardized like all the other "fusion" music being played today by musicians that have access to the musics of the world and not just their region.
Great music. Balkans? Hardly. The tags say Hungarian. Anyway, the Balkans are a quite a number of different countries and cultures with differing musical styles. So don't start travelling until you know where to.
