Oslo, Norway (2011 – present)

Bernhoft (alternatively typeset as Bern/hoft) is the stage name of Norwegian Jarle Bernhoft. After becoming a solo artist in 2005 after the dissolution of Span, Bernhoft released some recordings, heavily inspired by the genres of , , and related musical styles, under his birth name.

In 2011, he released the album Solidarity Breaks under the name Bernhoft, now based in Oslo, Norway. The album eventually claimed the #1 spot on the Norwegian album charts, and while having gained a solid fanbase ever since the beginning of his solo career, Bernhoft finally rose to national fame.

    I much agree with danielting89. You might like his first album, which he released under his full name Jarle Bernhoft. It's less pop and polished, and more soulful.

    C'mon guys change the name "Jarle Bernhoft" into just "Bernhoft" so all the scrobbles go to the same guy. It's bullshit to separate the guys name like this.

    It would be great if Lastfm could merge together the names "Bernhoft and "Jarle Bernhoft" just like they did before since it's the same guy. It's kinda frustrating to separate the two names when you want all the scrobbles to go to the same guy.
