About This Track

The uniquely tense and haunting “Georgie’s theme” from Herrmann’s score for the 1968 film Twisted Nerve is re-used effectively by Quentin Tarantino in the hospital corridor scene in Kill Bill (2003), whistled by the hellish one-eyed nurse Elle Driver.

@Glen_Runciter -- HEY! I want to give you a hug b/c you're so mad. Your energy is too much. But I'm also mad at you, b/c I thought I would be clever and write something about how some baby hipsterfaces, with outfits on channeled into hightops were being really showy about whistling that around a posh mall I was at this weekend and getting on my twisted nerves. I was at a mall this weekend. Wasn't this a good story, everybody boomboomboom? :)

to everyone: stop whistling this shit already. thank you. also, since we are already at it: don't ever use any part of the Requiem for a dream OST as the music of your shitty youtube vid again.

It is sad how people ignore the fact that this song is written for and is named after the movie 'Twisted Nerve', Tarantino, who I love just reused the song.

Astounding! The "murder whistle" is usually associated with "In the Hall of the Mountain King" due to the central character, Peter Lorry, whistling it in Fritz Langs "M": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIj3Bk0bhL8
