There are multiple artists with the name Benighted:
1) Benighted is a French Brutal Death Metal/Grindcore band. They formed in 1998 in Balbigny, France. Benighted has slowly evolved from a blackened death metal sound, to a newer sound of brutal death metal. This is considered to be a fusion of several styles: combining groovy death-thrash riffs with black metal-ish sections, and various different styles of harsh vocals throughout their songs.
Benighted have 5 albums under their belt: 2000’s Benighted, 2002’s Psychose, 2003’s Insane Cephalic Production, and 2005’s Identisick. They released their recent effort in 2007, titled Icon. Their official website is www.staybrutal.com

I love how each album by Benighted (Fra) offers something different. Unlike some Death Metal bands out there, it's possible to tell Benighted songs/albums apart from each other, they don't just reuse the same song over and over again.
