Ben Nichols is American alt country musician, best known for being the frontman for alt.country icons Lucero. His first solo release, The Last Pale Light in the West, was released in January 2009 on Lucero's label Liberty & Lament. On November 17, 2013 the title song from the album featured in the episode "Live Bait" of the AMC series The Walking Dead.

  • My wife & I were introduced to Ben Nichol's music from his song "Shelter" in the Movie "Take Shelter". The Movie & the Song were excellent. Todd Snider had a song or two in a Movie called , "The Locksmith" that reminds me of their style. Keep kickin' out the good songs! Thanks, Tim
