I like it, very consistent, but with variety. Not one bad song on here.

Returning to this album after some years and enjoying it much more this time around. I have to be honest and say that this, Dear Catastrophe Waitress, and Write About Love just aren't up to the same standard as their earlier efforts, but they are still enjoyable in their own right. 'Act of the Apostle' and 'Dress Up in You' are glorious, but there are a couple of irritating songs, at least to me. I can't stand 'The Blues Are Still Blue'.

it's different... perhaps more poppy. But still top-notch.

This is my first listen to Belle and Sebastian. I'm liking what I hear. Similar to early of Montreal.

I always kinda liked B&S stuff, but none of their other albums ever made much of an impression. This one is nearly solid gold all the way through. Nearly a perfect indie pop record and one of my top 10 albums of the 2000s.

Have you seen the fan questions inside the CD booklet? Jesus, some of the questions are very good but others are really stupid or downright insulting. Aren't people embarrassed of asking such pointless shit to their favourite band? Such a waste of time and energy...

Good album, such fun. His voice reminds me of James Mercer quite a lot on this record.
