Beaverloop started in Perth on march 8, 1993 and broke up on Jan 20, 2000.

They released a bunch of cd’s that topped Perths independent music charts (often having 3cd’s in the charts at the same time) and toured Australia 13 times.

Beaverloop were a band of extremes. People either loved them or hated them, and often did both in the space of a single gig.

They played everything from empty rooms to 30,000 punter filled festivals.
Their videos were banned but also won competitions.
They were funny but had serious messages in their music.

Beaverloop started when Loon-x-Wing, Bradc, and Simon Kennedy (Ganesha on ECOPAX) got together one March afternoon at The Rechabite Hall and jammed out a few 20 minute songs. Over the next few months these jams formed into songs and got shorter until they eventually turned into a weird hybrid of punk/rap/metal/reggae and rock.

Within months they boys decided it was time to do a gig (although they had no lyrics to their songs) and got things started by gatecrashing a fundraiser at connections nightclub. The first anyone knew that they were playing was when they loaded their equipment onto the stage and started playing. The crowd went nuts and our heroes decided that this was the most fun that any of them had ever had and would continue to work on their music above all else.
