Kristiansund, Norway (2001 – present)

1) U.K. sextet granted permission to use any Jimi Hendrix samples they wished, released the funky If 60’s Were 90’s in 1994. The center of the outfit is Du Kane and Luke Baldry.

2) Norwegian band consisting of the members Jonas Dahl, Arne Kvalvik, Kjetil Ovesen, and Ådne Meisfjord. The Beautiful People was formed in 2001, and originally based in their hometown of Kristiansund, they moved to Oslo in 2002. After two EPs on the Public Demand label, a sublabel of Perfect Pop Records, the group signed to prominent Norwegian independent label Smalltown Supersound. Late 2005 and early 2006 they performed under the new name ‘Sex Beat’ because of another musicgroup named The Beautiful People’.

During the summer 2006 they changed the name once more to ‘120 Days’. Their debutalbum 120 Days, released Oct. 10th 2006, they won a prize in 2006 in the class rock and newcomer of the year. It has also gotten several positive reviews by North American publications. The group toured the United States shortly after the release of the album.
