I just finished reading Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and I was always amused when I came across a line from Silent Hedges, and a few other songs. Peter Murphy straight lifted some lines such as "when the intoxication of success had evaporated." Also "works of art with a minimum of steel." And "self confidence leaks from a thousand wounds." Also the idea of the "hands of the electric clock." All right out of Brave New World, excellent book, by the way.
