After adopting the name Baths, he released debut album Cerulean on independent record label Anticon. He recorded the entire album in two months from his bedroom. The BBC’s Mike Diver claims Baths’ nearest musical sound-a-like is chillwave musician Toro Y Moi. Pitchfork noted Baths’ influences, acts such as Björk and Flying Lotus, were “obvious” in his work.

  • Sidechain Compression: The Album.
  • This album is so dreamy, beautiful and spiritual...
  • so much feeling (forgot how good this album actually is)
  • the greatest I've heard in a while
  • Also, there's a Japanese version that contains the songs "Petals" and "Calliope" .. maybe he renamed some of the ones that you have? I'll end up checking myself eventually..
  • @Cheezdude: The track list that you posted which contains 14 tracks is the early-leaked "bootleg" edition. The guy behind Baths was actually really pissed that was leaked. I don't know what your edition sounds like, but Seaside Town, Palatial Disappointment, and Mecha Joy aren't on the official edition, while the song 'Plea' is. The song Thaumus you mentioned is a bonus track on the iTunes edition. Otherwise, Wikipedia's tracklist is correct (the same as the one here on last.fm).
  • my one doesn't include Plea which last.fm has, Thaumas which Wikipedia has. Am I missing out on those two? Cause you guys are definitely missing out on Mecha Joy, holy shit.
  • Can someone tell me what the actually track listing of this is... I've seen very many. This is the one that I've grown to love: 1. Apologetic Shoulderblades 2. Lovely Bloodflow 3. Maximalist 4. [heart] 5. Aminals 6. Rafting Starlit Everglades 7. Hall 8. You're My Excuse To Travel 9. Rain Smell 10. Indoorsy 11. Seaside Town 12. Palatial Disappointment 13. Mecha Joy 14. Departure
  • Ill check it out
  • First album that reached my 1000 plays.
