Bart de Win is a dutch musician, singer and songwriter.

De Win (1963) started classical pianotraining at the age of 8. He started playing and singing in bands during highschool. Mostly blues and popmusic.
He studied jazz and pop piano at the Rotterdam Conservatory and graduated in 1989. He played in several pop, jazz-and fusiongroups with a all kinds of soloists, mostly singers.

He worked with Izaline Calister, Stevie Ann, Gé Titulaer, Joke Bruijs, Fay Claassen, Gert Vlok Nel, JW Roy and many more.

De Win started teaching at the Eindhoven school of music in 1988. After a while he ended up studying jazzvocals himself. He graduated in 1999 and started teaching vocal improvisation in Rotterdam. In 1999 De Win was a finalist at the ‘Jazz Vocalisten Concours’ in Zwolle, Holland.

In 1996 he started playing with dutch singer, songwriter and musician Gerard van Maasakkers as a member of his group ‘The Vaste Mannen’.

In october 2009 De Win released a solo-album ‘The simple life’.

    Naast lid van de vaste mannen (begeleidingsband van Gerard van Maasakkers; mijn favoriete Nederlandse zanger) laat Bart de Win horen dat hij ook solo een geweldige muzikant is. Dit 2e album is veruit het beste Nederlandse Americana-album dat ik in tijden heb gehoord, kan zich meten met de groten uit het genre en dat zeg ik zonder enige vorm van chauvinisme. Ga zo door Bartje!
