Barry McGuire (born 15 October 1935) is an American singer-songwriter best known for his 1965 hit with the song "Eve of Destruction", and later as a pioneering singer and songwriter of Contemporary Christian Music.

  • I'm sure Barry McGuire is mourning P.F. Sloan's passing today; he owes his career, at least his notoritity, to him having written both Eve Of Destruction and Sins Of The Family. Poor Sloan really was invisible to the majority, such a talented man, a big loss.
