Biography

Barry Lynn is Boxcutter (UK) and The Host.

Barry has been playing guitar since he was 15, inspired by Jimi Hendrix (still a big hero and major influence), he started producing on a computer aged 18 inspired by hiphop, dub and dance producers like DJ Shadow, Squarepusher, Four Tet and King Tubby, although also a fan of a diverse range of other music.
A big part of Barry’s production has always been mixing up instruments with electronic elements and making stuff in as many styles as he can. He’s also become known for his much talked about live sets, jamming with basses and guitars over tracks as well as messing around with other electronic stuff.
