Born in Romsey in Hampshire, England 1976. From a working class family, his father having worked on farms and gardens. Barnaby grew up listening mainly to Country music from his dad’s collection, eventually aquiring his own taste for the music.
He had started dabbling in writing lyrics by the age of 11, and at 18 he got asked to audition for a friends rock band. They ended up co-writing material for a few years with various line-ups and in ‘98 started to perform and record in a band with a couple of more friends before in 2001 Barnaby left feeling unsuited to the heavier rock style and needing to take a break from music.

By 2006 he was missing being involved in music and had started writing again. Having gone back to the Country music he was brought up on, he recorded his first self-penned album Onwards in 2007, and started to perform shows around the UK.
In 2010 he recorded his second self-penned album When The Music Stops, with one track Far And Wide being a co-write with Scottish songwriter Mark Kearns. The album has quite a stripped down acoustic sound and is the style Barnaby has been longing to record for years. He is taking a break from performing, but there will be more writing and recording to come…
