Greece's Girl-fronted Barb Wire Dolls are storming L.A. and making history on the Street with the New Wave Of Punk.
Barb Wire Dolls consist of the young and ultra sexy Queen Isis on vocals, Pyn Doll on guitar, Voodoo Doll on bass and Krash Doll on drums. The girl-fronted New-Punk band described as a " girl-fronted Green Day " rocked the legendary Sunset Strip as the first Greek rock band to play in America in December 2010 at their sold out show at The Roxy. Since then Barb Wire Dolls have taken L.A. by storm, building an exponential word of mouth buzz by being heralded as “The Next Big Thing” and amassing crowds wherever they go. “Discovered” by legendary tastemaker Rodney Bingenheimer at the World Famous KROQ radio, the band sold all and relocated to The States to live their dream. Capitalizing on their momentum, Barb Wire Dolls are revamping the classic L.A. punk scene that so inspired them growing up while their songs are topping charts in other far away countries.
Influenced by The Early Punk and New Wave scenes including the Sex Pistols, Ramones, Blondie, The Clash, and The Slits, the band describes their style as “straight from the street, simple, balls-to-the-wall rock and roll”. The band is delivering something fresh, new, and vital, and with the help of their growing legion of fans known as the “Street Generation Army” they’re rocking, rioting, and ripping up the punk rock scene one show and one town at a time. Barb Wire Dolls feel that the music they’ve created is meant to stir up and inspire, and they’re giving their new U.S. fans all they got and taking their punk rock gospel proclaiming: “The revolution has begun, so what the hell are you gonna do?!” You can start by checking out their “recorded live and in one take for under $500” self-released 6 song EP “Punk the Fussies!” available now on iTunes world-wide. Their music and live show has been described by concert promoters as a cross between Blondie and The Sex Pistols.
With raw power and pure primal force Barb Wire Dolls continue to shake and wake up US audiences with their electrifying live show while record labels keep coming to sign up the band. With a publishing deal already inked and record company offers on the table, the band is focusing primarily on playing as many shows as possible to work out the thirty or so new songs they've written before heading into the studio to record their much anticipated full length debut. Get ready to rock, riot, and rip it up cause your town is next.
