There are mutliple artists with this name:

1) Banzai is a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Madrid, Spain.

Banzai was formed when Salvador Domínguez and Miguel Rios recorded the title track for the band. Following the success of this song, Salvador decided to stop playing with bands and artists to form their own band. Until then Salvador had played with the best musicians and composers in Spain ( Miguel Ríos, Los Canarios, Pekenikes, Cerebrum, etc.)…

Their first self titled album was released in 1983 and their second album “Duro y Potente’ was released the following year.

The band split in 1985, reunited in 1987 (for a gig only) and released Alive ‘n’ Screaming in 1988 (which was Duro y Potente (1984) with some lyrics in English)

After 24 years away from the metal scene, Banzai played a comeback headlining show in front of 22,000 fans on Saturday, June 4 in Madrid.

2) Banzai is a Brooklyn quartet formed in 2004. They play a fun and exciting variety of eclectic music, with influences such as (but not limited to) jazz, hip-hop, country, film music, electronic, funk, classical and pop, in addition to the myriad of styles heard in the underbelly of modern rock music. Banzai melds creativity with accessibility, while taking pride in their noted lack of stylistic definition. Readily switching genres mid-song may seem challenging to the ear, but Banzai establishes a logical flow that has made them a musical force to be reckoned with. They will be releasing a full-length follow-up to 2007’s “Please Enjoy” EP in September.
