Biography

Balil is the solo project of Ed Handley. Handley was once part of the trio The Black Dog along with Andrew Turner & Ken Downie. Handley & Turner left to pursue their Plaid project, with Downie continuing on with different lineups of The Black Dog.

    damn. i did not know those connections Black Dog / Balil / __Plaid__! (first 2, yep, but with the more standard pure -trendy at a time- DnB 3rd, nope!..)... no wonders then.. if they divided..always preferred the first 2 here...since discovered later..interesting... ! :)

    Balil plainly produces everything a electronic track can be. Balil encompasses trance, electro, dub, techno, ambient and it makes you dance. Every contemporary producer is obliged to listen to Balil & The Black Dog.
