I don't care what any of you think. It's Bad Religion gotta love BR and all of their shit even Into The Unknown (Which I actually like)

After a few years, I must eat my words and recognize that this is a brilliant album. It's just different. It's not punk rock. It's a fucking great rock album. Biggest Killer, No Substance and Mediocre Minds are there to prove it. And for punk rock fans, I don't believe you don't like Hear It and In So Many Ways.

"This is a great album, 'In so many ways' is one of the best songs they've ever made." Agreed there!

Shades of Truth is the most badass instrumental of all BR's musics

When I listened to this record I though that it was the worst BR record, but time has passed and I appreciate and I love No Substance. Bueno, no sé escribir en inglés, el punto es que no es un mal disco en absoluto, lo que pasa es que en un principio suena un poco menos grandioso que el resto hasta que se lo escucha tranquilo varias veces, es un disco más que digno de respeto. All Fantastic Images ♥

maybe it's their worst effort, but "sowing the seeds of utopia" gets me every time. :)

i think theres some good stuff buried in here. however, even if you slice it to 12 tracks or so, the majority are mid-paced. theres about 8 tracks that stand alone as good-great songs, but i dont think these songs fit together as anything cohesive. there was definately some drought in the creativity. raise your voice is horrible

I'd say it's their "worst" too, but still it's a fine record. In so many ways, Strange Denial and The Same Person are my favourites here and there's more good ones. I'd say most of the fast songs are the weakest points in this album, something rare for BR, and maybe why most people can't apreciate it. But some of the melodies are great, in a differend way than usual BR.

"Best" and "Worst" are all opinions. Something can only be Best or Worst to you but no one else. Although together as a collective, people can share the same positive/negative opinion on a subject. However, when one says "Worst" could simply be another person's "Best." So far I'm liking this album, so to those who feel this is Bad Religion at their worst, I say, it's much better than that.

compared to all their other albums, this is their most pop... so I guess if you like the less punk stuff, this is a good album. but it just doesn't have the same "Get Up And Change The World Damnit!" feeling that their other albums do...

Dream Of Unity was actually re-recorded for the Japanese Import version of No Substance, and was placed right after In So Many Ways as track 18. Dream of Unity (remix).
