    I had never heard of Avantasia until this album and I really enjoyed it. I think a lot of people didn't like it because it didn't really 'fit' the genre of the their older stuff, but in the words of Tobias himself, the genre is not point of an album. Music is going to be music--what does the label really matter? And I just love that voice of his. <3

    People hate this album because it sounds... eh, more radio-friendly, I guess. And yeah, it does. The problem is that they can't help but see it through metalhead glasses - if you listen to it for what it is, the album is fine. And the title track is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

    Cry Just a Little, Scarecrow -- this album is magnificent. The singing -- the music -- it's so mature and tight. People saying that it is horrible are morons. You need to expand your tastes before you can appreciate such genius.

    Wow, what's with the hate? I'm a massive fan of the metal opera, but The Scarecrow blew me away. By far the best record Tobias has done imo (edguy etc). I have massive expectations for the new albums. O hai thare Jorn Lande & Russel Allen :D
