this album and the curse are also out there in pure instrumental form, just in case anyone didn't know that. so if you're someone who enjoys that kinda thing... i've got both of them... i suppose they have to be bootlegs that took advantage of centered vocals, but i have to say, i've heard people use the "vocal removal technique" with audacity, etc... but never heard any results this clean with the music dynamics still intact. almost sounds like a legit release, though i've never seen it anywhere. anyway. random thought, they've been out for as long as the records have been. for those who have them, or have heard them -- if they're bootlegs, anyone know how the hell this type of result was achieved? as said... usually the result ends up either tinny sounding, or way too much treble/muddy, etc. it never really sounds "good", IMO... and the removal itself tends to be partial in of itself (you can still hear faint vocals in the background, or chorus back-up harmonies are still there).

Their best album to date I'd say. Puts their later efforts to shame anyway. Although I wish they'd included Her Portrait In Black on it like they initially intended to. Replace The Theft with it and you've got one fucking great album.
