The musical philosophy behind Athelstone is quite simple : to keep on making music for the pure joy of doing so, and sharing the energy of that which is created with as many people as possible. This led to guitarist Daniel Cassar, drummer/percussionist Matthew Vella to write an almost-hour long album over the span of six months. Highly committed to having a recorded product which matched their original artistic intentions, Ryan Vella Bonello was recruited on bass, and during the summer of 2011 a DIY recording, which took place in a basement, a living room, and even a couple of bedrooms, was underway.
