Speaking from a completely unbiased point of view as I'm not a fan of ATR and only just started listening to them this year, I really do think this is a good album. Yes it is indeed different, but certainly not bad in the slightest. Though I love the fuck out of lo-fi and breakcore like their old material, I also love EBM which this album just so happened to be aiming for. Just be thankful they didn't decide to jump on that dreadful brostep bandwagon. Oh god why am I reviewing a three-year-old album?

Atari Teenage Riot "Delete Yourself!" and "The Future Of War" (2012 LOUD Remasters) are out now on all DSPs, or get them directly from the band from their bandcamp http://atariteenageriot.bandcamp.com/

I don't know. This album is really different form the rest of their work, but I really like it. I could say that it's my favorite.

The difference is that it isn't lo-fi anymore, you can guess what that's supposed to mean

I gotta say I am inclined to agree with the previous poster - My problem is that I feel ATR are now pandering to the NME crowd -just on the right side of 'hipster' electronica with a Guardian news paper endorsed edge of rebellion :\ What happened to Digital Hardcore? Psycholod- you say this is ATR for 2011? ATR for the 2000's onwards was Activate! The rest of the album is a far cry from Digital Hardcore! It has no bite, no punk edge and is ultimately a tame effort in comparison Sick to Death or even Rage. Even Intelligence and Sacrifice had more balls than this - Alec said in Futurist that he took a punk rock spit in the face of commercial music- this is tamer than Golden Fortaste of Heaven and even recent Ladytron. Where was the vitriol? The anger? It wasn't even clever spoken word or sloganeering :( I tried to love this, I really did. As an ATR fan I can't. Sorry.

look im just saying, I feel that ATR has turned a massive corner in the ways of music. They had something raw and powerful that made people stand up and feel like they could kick government doors down, feel energetic and ostentatious toward life and free will. yes the message is still the same (kind of) but it isn't engaging, the music has totally taken a turn. Maybe im alone on this? I fuckin loved the london gig they did before this album and this album let me and my friends down.

Just saying but I was very disappointed by this album. If it follwed on from Activate I think it would have been a fully blown teeth kicking album. I guess ill go put the Future of War back on ;P
