Astrobrite is shoegaze/noise pop super group project from the musician Scott Cortez (Of Star and Lovesliescrushing fame). Astrobrite began in 1994 as a solo project and in 1995 the band expanded in order to tour. Astrobrite played their last show in 1997 and went on hiatus. In 2001, Astrobrite’s first album ‘Crush’ was released. In addition to Cortez, members include Lovesliescrushing band mate Melissa Arpin-Duimstra, Lynn Anderson of Alison’s Halo, Andrew Prinz of Mahogany and Majesty Crush’s Odell Nails. Their sophomore effort, ‘Pinkshiny Ultrablast’, was released in 2005, and a third album, ‘Whitenoise Superstar’ was released in April 2007. The group’s most recent album, entitled ‘One Hit Wonder’, was released in 2008.

Well, Scott actually contacted me here and said that it's a track from a new album. I really wasn't expecting a new one already. The man is a machine! I got the Peruvian edition of One Hit Wonder just a couple of days ago. It's on sale on Projekt. I find it better than the earlier Japanese version because it's noisier and it includes the song "Tearjerker", although I wonder why Goldskinner wasn't included. It's one of my favourites from the Japanese version.
