34 year old Avidan is a folk singer/songwriter; His vocal - sounding very much like the legendary Janis Joplin - is unmatched; and he sings primarily in English.

“A genius… A new Messiah” (Rolling Stone Mexico) and
“The most interesting voice in the Israeli music scene”
are just some of the accolades he has received.

He used to go on tours and records with his band, The Mojos:

They splited up in 2013.
Today Asaf Avidan goes on tours and records alone, he released his first solo album intitled “Different Pulses” in 2013 (Europe).

Avidan started writing in the wake of a painful breakup, eventually producing his first EP, “Now That You’re Leaving”, released in June 2006. It was produced independently and has sold out its initial print of 1,000.

Avidan began playing solo in bars, accompanying himself with his guitar and harmonica, and slowly gathered a loyal following.

In January 2007 he assembled The Mojos, and took his music on another, rockier, path. The Mojos were performing to sellout crowds and a major hype has arisen in the Israeli media.

Avidan’s 2nd release, a full LP titled “The Reckoning”, recorded with The Mojos, was released in late May 2007.

In June 2008, his album, “The Reckoning”, went to the No.#01 Sales Charts in Israel on it’s 2nd week of release; It has sold more then 2.5 times then the album in 2nd position,
