    @Snowman9000, what the fuck are you talking about? I don't even know where to begin. OK, so in your opinion, metal is pretty much talentless. Too bad you haven't bothered to listen to about 90% of actual metal music. But hey, you just want to judge everything according to your preconceived notions. That's cool. It's not like death vocals don't require extreme vocal modulation in order to get all the ridiculous pitches. It's not like the fills for both drums and guitar take any foundation in actual music or skill. Hey, anyone could pull off a 300 bpm double bass track (My Fears Have Become Phobias), right? And what do you consider annoying vocals? Would you rather listen to actual talented growls, that take years of skill and practice to pull off? Those “horrid sounds” are a sign of what it actually takes to get anywhere in this genre. Or would you rather listen to prepubescent autotuned bitching that's being penned by pretty much anyone with a mic, software, and too much spare time?

    Get the fuck out. You don't even know what real metal is. Hard rock is hard rock, metal is metal. They're completely separate genres, and the only reason you’re even grouping them together is because you’re absolutely ignorant of what true metal is or what the term “genre” even means. It’s there to provide the distinction between different styles. Anyone who thinks that the term metal is all-encompassing needs to get the fuck off their Top 40 track bandwagon and get themselves educated. It’s not all the same. It’s different, and there’s different subgenres, but you wouldn’t have known that, and you probably wouldn’t have unless someone braced themselves against a wall and used all their strength to yank your head out of your ass, because God knows you weren’t going to do it yourself.

    You try screaming sometime. You try playing an instrument at that level. Maybe then you’ll have some idea of the respect that these guys, and most metal bands, truly deserve. If it’s as easy as you say, then it’ll be no problem, right? That’ll give you some spare time to getting back to being an asshole, or whatever it is you do. And please, while you’re at it, could you explain what the flying fuck a “genral holocaust” is?
