Puma is an improvisational group based in Trondheim, Norway, who play music drawn from rock, noise, elektronica and jazz. Puma consists of Stian Westerhus on guitar, Gard Nilssen on drums, and Øystein Moen on synthesizers.
Veslefrekk is a Norwegian jazz trio, consisting of Ståle Storløkken (keyboards), Arve Henriksen (vocals and trumpet) and Jarle Vespestad (drums). Veslefrekk works with experimental and partly improvised music, as well as structured free jazz with elements of ethnic, rock and modern music. Veslefrekk is also known as Supersilent when collaborating with musician Helge Sten/Deathprod.
Eldbjørg Raknes (born February 9th, 1970) is singer, composer, band leader and improviser. Besides vocals she does live voice sampling.
She lives in Trondheim. Eldbjørg has founded her own record company, MYrecordings.
Arve Henriksen (b. 1968) is a Norwegian trumpet player. His distinctive flute-like sound can be heard in such bands as Supersilent, Christian Wallumrød Ensemble, Trygve Seim Ensemble, Veslefrekk, Jon Balke & Magnetic North Orchestra, and Nine Horses among others.
Mats Eilertsen is a Norwegian jazz bassist. He has recorded with some of the most accomplished jazzmen today, most notably pianist Tord Gustavsen on the acclaimed Restored Returned session. Eilertsen's own compositions are best described as organic affairs, where melodies emerge slowly from restrained atmospheric improvisations.
Svalastog is the solo project from Per Henrik Svalastog. Per Henrik Svalastog comes from Tromsø in the far north of Norway(hometown of Biosphere, Alog, Bel Canto and Röyksopp etc.) and is one of the veterans on the Norwegian electronica scene. He has released three albums as part of the duo Information and a lot of 12"ers and remixes under various aliases since 1990.
Arild was born at Lillestrøm in Norway on 27th.October 1945. He was to develop into a bass player of great subtlety, an accomplished and sought after composer, and an experimentalist, investigating the possibilities of fusing improvisation with traditional Norwegian folk music.(Why did nobody think of that before?)
Born in 1977, Per Zanussi grew up in Stavanger, Norway with an Italian father and Norwegian mother. He started playing various instruments at five but picked up the bass at 13 playing in rock bands. After discovering jazz he quickly switched to double bass.
Frode Haltli, born 1975, is a Norwegian accordion player. Haltli started to play the accordion at the age of seven and over the following few years he won several national competitions and scholarships. He was awarded first prize in Norwegian TV's Talentiaden 1991.
