1) Arkona (Аркона) is a Slavonic pagan folk metal band from Russia. Official Site Their lyrics are heavily influenced by Russian folklore,and Slavic mythology, and their music incorporates several traditional Russian musical instruments. The band was founded in 2002 and as of January 2007 they have published five albums, one demo, one compilation and one concert DVD.

Oh dear. Arkona's (RUS) music IS about race and relgion. @whisperes and others, the new album translates as Hail Rod Hail. Rod is a slavic god so there is the religion part very clear. One of their songs is called 'Bratye Slavyane' which means 'Brother Slavs' so there is a song about race. It doesnt mean you have to be white or a slav to listen to their music but to deny that their music is about nation pride etc etc is just plain wrong. Either deal with that or stop listening and buying. Its very very simple.
