Arjen Anthony Lucassen is a composer and musician from the Netherlands. He sings and plays a large variety of instruments, including guitars, flutes and synthesizers. In bands like Ayreon, he gathers a large group of musicians and records albums with them. He is often credited with having revived the rock opera genre.

    2012 has been a pretty good year for Rock and Metal. Epicloud by Devin Townsend Project, Eremita by Ihsahn, Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris, Time by Wintersun and a lot more albums! Album of the year for me is stuck between Devin, Ihsahn and Arjen.

[3] I don't really see the comparison but what the heck! :D Yah, in years I haven't listened to any new album as much as I have listened to Lost in the New Real. The concept really gets me. The future world described in the album actually feels scarily credible to me! :o Mostly.
