Después de batir todos los récords despachando más de 360.000 copias de su disco de debut en sus siete primeros días de presencia en las tiendas y siendo un grupo sin ni siquiera un single en el mercado, Arctic Monkeys colgaban el cartel de “no hay entradas” en todos sus conciertos. Tanto "Whatever People Say I Am, That´s What I´m Not" en 2006 como "Favourite Worst Nightmare" en 2007 gozaron de una grandísima aceptación popular, aunque no estuvieron exentos de alguna críticas por la prensa. Su tercer disco, “Humbug”, ya está entre nosotros.
