This is a horrible, mainstream, sellout album that Architects were basically pressured by their label into making. They hated it when they recorded it, they hated it on release and they hated playing the songs live. The band members have all gone to great lengths to distance themselves from it since its release; in their own words, The Here and Now is "a car crash" that they never wanted to have anything to do with.

This ended up being their most underrated album ironically when people though they were going to sell out and go mainstream haha. Favorite album by them for sure.

I really like this album. It doesn't sound boring for me, take in mind it's more hardcorish and less metal, so it has to be like this. Don't be faggots, this is a pretty solid album.

They don't really sound like AOF, what's all the comparism? I never got it, and I'm a huge fan of both bands. Also, this album is great. Didn't like it at first, but grew faster on me than I could've imagined.

they didn't just ruin themselves with this album, but more important is the fact that this album is really boring

Some of this album is great, some of it (ie. for me, Heartburn), unfortunately did not work so well. Still, Year in Year Out is fantastic.
