I like the peace in the backseat
I don't have to drive, I don't have to speak
I can watch the country side
And I can fall asleep

This song always makes me cry. Emotion in music form. So beautiful.

This song is really beautiful and touching. I can relate to Régine's feelings and I much prefer a voice that can transmit such emotions instead of just a perfectly tuned one that doesn't make one feel anything.

Its a song about Regine's own mother, I agree the raw emotion in her voice is much more suitable to the song than being "in tune".

So incredibly wonderful! It builds up as a peaceful lullaby/fairytale until the truth unveils. Unbelievably strong and the instrumentation is beyond beautiful.

wtf Mew? Don't get me wrong, I love Mew but they will never be as epic as Arcade Fire. A song 'trying way too hard to be super epic'... Every song is meant to be epic right? And they succeeded.

Anyone else agree with me that this song is trying way too hard to be super epic and darling indie to be as sincere as it hopes? Probably not. Try "Comforting Sounds" by Mew for a song in the same vein with much more breathing room and beauty.

Along with the strain in her voice and the intense beauty and passion Regine puts into her music, the build up and the high notes gives me goosebumps every time. This song is actually so amazing. I can safely say this is my favourite track in 'Funeral' slightly after 'Rebellion' and 'Neighborhood #2 Laika'.
