Swinging Rockhop, that’s what it is, Swinging Rockhop. It is the only way to describe the musical sound that was created when lead guitarist/vocalist Jeff Cochran, bassist/backup vocals Nick Cook, and drummer Phil Bradshaw started to play music together. From their first jam session these three friends knew that they had found something special and started to play gigs wherever and whenever they could. The style of music that AppleCharm performs appeals to several different audiences and genres so when asked what kind of genre of music AppleCharm falls into they respond with “Swinging Rockhop.” The birth of swinging rockhop took place in 2007 but had been developing many years prior. Yet, this stint was short lived due to some obstacles that caused the band to split towards the end of 2007.
However, now, two years later AppleCharm is back and more passionate than ever. The biggest motivation to get the band back together is the effect that the music had on those listening. The AppleCharm fans begged and pleaded for the band to get back together throughout the entire time the band was split up. This is because listening to swinging rockhop is not a passive act, when you listen to this music you become compelled to get on your feet and start moving with the music. People really enjoy the swinging rockhop sound and atmosphere that is created when AppleCharm performs. Watching people lose all their inhibitions and self-consciousness as they dance the night away is what AppleCharm is all about so hold on because they are coming to take you home.
