Apartment 26 were an electronic/metal band from Leamington Spa, England. They played Ozzfest in 1999 and split up in 2004. They worked with Tchad Blake, at Real World Studios, on their self-financed “Music For The Massive”, having scrapped “Album 1.5” after 2 years of production. The result was a much tighter band, and looser “live” sound, captured by Blake by making the band perform live in the studio. After selling the finished record to Atlantic/Wea the label shed half of its roster during a merge with Electra Records, including Apartment 26. The single “Give Me More” was a minor Modern Rock hit in 2004.

Their name comes from David Lynch’s Eraserhead, in which the character lives in Apartment 26

"Music for the Massive" person speaking here :]. Man, I really want them to reunite and give me more :/. Discovered them with Backwards song on Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack, but somehow most of the songs in "Music for the Massive" fits me even more. I love it :]

I loved this band, back in the day. Hallucinating the first album by a band I ever bought and loved it for quite some time. When the long delayed Music For The Massive came out, I was completely disappointed. It had some great moments on it, but only a series of moments rather than a whole album. For the most part they abandoned the style of Hallucinating. When I found out they broke up, I cared only slightly.

I totaly got into this band and the cd's arrived after peinfull long waiting, well the extra price was worth it ;P just an awsm band ! my favourite is "Book (Be my friend)" I like theyr text and combination of the electronic elemts with quite hard metal guitars

awesome band. I prefer Hallucinating, but Music for the Massive is nice too. I've heard somewhere their bonus track (on Hallucinating) and spent 3 weeks dowloading the whole album with a half-dead torrent.. Too bad so few people listen to them

Oh Yeah! Top Listener, with currently 192 listens. Their two albums is the biggest change in styles I've ever seen. Just to go from a Nu Metal/Industrial band into like alternative Jazz Rock? ...But I like both of the albums. :)
