I bought the Anvil Anthology CD a while back and it really got me into this band and I still am to this day. But I live in northern Michigan so the Metal selection up here really SUCKS ASS!! Anyways, getting my hands on additional Anvil music proved to be a hard task to say the least. So I just listen to the the Anthology CD every now and then to feed my addiction. Then their documentary came out and I was completely floored. The guys in Anvil have been through so much shit and it is not far. METAL HORNS HIGH UP IN THE AIR FOR ANVIL. Anything like that would have devastated any other metal band but not Anvil.
You guys deserve/d more recognition. Dave (below) summed it up and I know the eras that you have "bled" your rock to.
I'm sorry that the money-men are so numerous in the music business but dust gets everywhere doesn't it!
Best Wishes for the future.. JW TanGenT-TGT
God Bless 'em...I never knew the harship and angst they went thru for decades til I saw the Rocumentary The Story of Anvil. I always knew these MF-ers rocked like no others and never got there fair shake. I hope all the record companies are happy they never gave them a chance. Good for you boys...thanks for the free track by the way...I'll be buying more of your music from 13...EPI Canada can cram it!
This is the first song I have heard by Anvil. It was worth it. If I wouldn't have done any previous research on this band and then heard this song, I would've thought that this band would've been a doom metal band (seriously, the song does sound like that genre). It's a great song.
