Anton Brejestovski was born on 7 May 1971, and studied linguistics and languages until deciding to become a professional musician at the age of 21. Mr. Brejestovski’s music is performed and recorded by the ensemble Caprice, whose members perform for Russia’s top symphony orchestras and with whom he has recorded six CDs released by the French label Prikosnovenie. His other music credits include a full scale ballet, music for four films as well as theatre productions, a short opera, and numerous academic works.

His credo is to show in his music the reality which lies beyond the realm of the physical world as perceived with our five senses, and to show it in all of its possibilities of depth and diversity.

For ten years Mr. Brejestovski has been particularly fascinated by the world of faeries, whose denizens possess less logic and intellect than humans, but are more gifted in the craft of making music which, hence, sounds more beautiful and complex than human music.

At the turn of the century, Mr. Brejestovski conceived and later developed the idea of the language of Laoris, whose unique systems of writing, grammar and vocabulary bear no direct relationship to any human language.

As a result of these combined musical and linguistic efforts, the Elvenmusic trilogy was composed, recorded and released.
