Antilope from the U.S., formerly living in the Netherlands, and now based in Madrid is a basement sound artist who uses ultra lo-fi equipment to bring together layers of his instruments and sometimes samples forming ambient, folk, psychedelic, mostly improvised, noise and drone-based songs that hopefully will get better over time. He uses mostly acoustic instruments except for an unwieldy laptop, which serves to generate sine waves and mangle sounds. He doesn’t have much equipment. Right now he needs more money. Recently he has begun to incorporate a bit of electric guitar and keyboard textures, thanks to borrowed instruments, as well as experiment slightly with feedback.

The tracks he has uploaded to Last.fm are not supposed to be “final versions”… rather they are to be seen as rough demo’s that should give an idea of his musical vision and direction.
