This track is a cover of a song by French punk-metal band Trust. The original lyrics are in French, and Anthrax translated them into English. It was released on the Anthrax album State of Euphoria in 1988.

‘Antisocial’, at least in the English version, is notable for its anarcho-socialist lyrics, something that no-one really expected from a US heavy metal band until Rage Against the Machine came along many years later.

The song has since become an almost indispensible part of Anthrax’s live set. Arguably it was they who made Antisocial and Trust famous outside France.

Antisocial is one of the many Anthrax covers and novelty numbers - in particular their warp-speed version of Joe Jackson’s Got The Time and Bring The Noise, their collaboration with rappers Public Enemy - that made them more accesible than other Thrash Metal acts, without having to sell out to the Corporate Rock machine.
